The revision aims to achieve a zero-emission and decarbonized building infrastructure in the EU by 2050 and aims to accelerate the renovation of poorly performing buildings in each member state. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the European Commission&#8217;s <sup>proposal23<\/sup>, all new buildings in the EU must be emission-free from 2030, with an earlier deadline (2027) for new public buildings. EU-wide minimum standards for energy efficiency are intended to ensure that the worst buildings in the EU must be renovated by certain deadlines in order to achieve a higher energy performance class. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the proposal stipulates that greenhouse gas emissions must be calculated and reported over the entire life cycle from 2027, and limit values will be specified from 2030.
