It aims to limit average global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels, with a maximum temperature increase of 1.5 degrees Celsius. Another goal is to align public and private financial flows with low-greenhouse gas development and adaptability to a changing climate.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Switzerland signed the Paris Agreement in 2015 and ratified it in 2017.
