They are pursuing the Level of Information Need approach in order to provide solutions for specific applications in the area of geometric, alphanumeric and document-based information. Depending on the initiative, the approach is to provide the data in an open standard such as IFC and\/or in a native format. In addition to closed enterprise solutions, there are many open source solutions on the market.
