The LOIN documentation “Level of Information Need – Basics” is a guideline based on SN EN 17412-1 that helps to define the level of information need in the best possible way. The reference to the current collaboration and processing models, such as the concepts and principles for defining the level of information need in the context of building modeling, is of the utmost importance. The documentation for use in structural engineering, landscape architecture and other areas is available on an ongoing basis.
SIA 112 Model construction planning – communication standard (2014): provides a standardized model structure for a project process in Switzerland with distributed roles and selectable modules. The standard is the basis for all service and fee regulations (LHO) of the construction-oriented planning disciplines, for communication, contracting and for the necessary provisions that must apply to all project participants. This includes the regulations SIA 101 Services of the client (client), the LHO’s of the planning disciplines 102 Architecture, 103 Civil engineer, 105 Landscape architects, 108 Engineering as well as further principles for the contract system, such as SIA 1001/1 Planner/construction management contract, SIA 1001/2 Partnership agreement for planning consortium, SIA 1001/3 Sub-planner contract, SIA 1001/11 Additional agreement BIM.
SN EN ISO 19650-1 to -5 series of standards (2017-2020): the five-part series of standards deals with the key factors of information management in the construction and real estate industry. Clearly defined processes with clearly assigned roles are a prerequisite for information management. The series of standards shows when which information is created, how it is created and where it is delivered, thus contributing to the efficient use of Building Information Modeling (BIM). SN EN ISO 19650-1 describes the concept and principles of information management as part of the BIM method. SN EN ISO 19650-2 and 3 focus on the processes of information management, from the project planning and realization phases to the management phase.
FprCEN/TR 17654: 2021 Guidance for the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) at European level based on EN ISO 19650-1 and -2)
BIM processing model, understanding (2022): the publication by Bauen Digital Schweiz / buildingSMART Switzerland provides all parties involved in a construction project with a harmonized and comprehensible structure of an information-supported construction project. On the one hand, it explains the interrelationships of key control elements in a BIM project, and on the other hand, it explains how a BIM project can be formally handled.
SN EN ISO 16739 IFC Industry Foundation Classes – IFC: the open, international standard (ISO 16739-1:2018) is manufacturer-neutral and is used by manufacturers for software solutions for many different applications. IFC is a standardized digital description form for the construction industry.
