For better understanding and to support application in practice, the “Level of Information Need” documentation has been divided into several modules. These build on each other and fulfill different requirements. The definition of the Level of Information Need is based on this document Fundamentals.
Level of Information Need – Basics
The basic document from Bauen Digital Schweiz / buildingSMART Switzerland describes the method for defining the Level of Information Need and forms the basis for all subsequent application aids. It is based on current practice and the applicable standards, in particular the standard SN EN 17412-1 Building information modeling – Level of information need – Part 1, concepts and principles.
Level of Information Need – Areas (application)
Based on current practice and the specific areas of application, this section describes how model-based collaboration and building information modeling are defined in relation to the depth of information requirements.
